Time Machine Trading

You ever notice how we rarely hear other people talk about their losses? Instead, and understandably, people usually only talk about their wins and similar to the psychology of "the grass always seems greener over there", it can be frustrating to hear other people talk about their successes while you struggle winning some and losing some. Just remember, everyone loses from time to time but it doesn't mean they want to talk about it.

One of the things I really like about trading the tides is that when you profitably flip a stock it is kind of like taking a machine back in time. So as it seems like you "missed out" on an opportunity, you can actually go back in time by using the tides. Here is an example of what I mean:

$AMZN is currently trading at 3108.  I first sailed it at 2920 and since then I sailed it 7 more times for a total of 867 points worth of profit. If you subtract 867 from 3108 you get 2241. So if I bought it today, it would be the same net as if I bought it at 2241.

Now, how does the "time machine" factor into this? Well, $AMZN last traded at 2241 on April 14, 2020 and had I bought it at 2241 on that day and held it until today, I would be sitting in the exact same spot I am today. This is exactly what trading the tides is all about.

Maybe someday, I'll be able to buy $AMZN as if I bought it when it was $35 back in November 2008! Just need to earn another 2000 points and I'll be there!

Fair winds and following seas!
